Wheel. Fortune.

One of the newest, temporary if I heard correctly, York attractions is the Wheel.  It's a giant ferris wheel that's 197 feet high.  The kids saw it as soon as we left the train station (seen below at left), so a visit was inevitable.

The price for one adult and two children?  $29.60

I nearly had a panic attack halfway up the damned thing.  If it hadn't cost so much, I might've considered using the panic button the operators pointed out when we got on.

The views were nice, but the nicest part was listening to the girls chirping on about the ride.

This was the first sunny day we'd had in a few weeks, so we took time to play statues in the nearby hotel's gardens.

The garden, at least, was free.
